About the Gadjo Playboys

Formed in 2001, the Gadjos are a collection of five gifted musicians who respectfully attempt to walk in the footsteps of the likes of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. The music, reminiscent of 1930's Parisian string jazz clubs, is hot, sophisticated, and swings... big time.

The tone is unmistakenly human and hits both your heart and your brain's rhythm box with equal impact. There's something about the appeal of the music which tends to span generational gaps and hurdles genre associations. Even those new to this style of audible incantation grasp its spiritual groove and immediately identify with it.

In an age of music commercialism and celebrity hype, the sexy swing of the Playboy's resonate tone visits you like a long-lost uncle bearing the gift of rhythmic childhood memories.

Our Music For Everyone

We're very proud to announce that one of the tracks from our first disc has been chosen by the Music For Everyone Foundation to be included in their first complilation project. Written by our very own Joe Ellis, Easy Now is one of only fourteen songs chosen for this prestigious project.
